WW threw a surprise party for Robert’s 50th birthday at Sartoria, which was attended by everyone at WW and some of Robert’s friends. A cocktail was created in Robert’s honour, a “Roberto Royale”, which naturally contained Amaretto and champagne. Robert’s party moved on to El Pirata for tapas and sangria and the hardier members of the party then went to 50.”

Wilkinson Williams once again sponsored the 2007 Accessible Retail Five a Side Competition, which was held at Goals Soccer Centre in Wembley on Thursday 12 July 2007 and attracted a total of 16 teams, who competed in a series of mini-leagues. There were some very tight games, including British Land's thrilling 2-1 victory over industry rivals Henderson Global Investors, with the winning goal scored in the last minute by Andrew Jones.
Congratulations go to Castlemore who ran out winners in the main cup competition, beating GVA Grimley after a nail biting penalty shoot-out, watched by a capacity crowd, who were now enjoying a well deserved beer and BBQ. Macquarie Global Property Advisors beat The Junction in the final of the plate competition.
Thanks to all those who took part. The event has been provisionally booked for next year on 10 July 2008."

Team WW (Grant, Wilko and the two Davids), along with Nick Alford, Simon Meacock and Harry Sadleir, completed the 58 mile London to Brighton Bike Ride on Sunday 17 June in aid of the British Heart Foundation. A race over the final stretch at the end of the race was a photo finish and too close to call!

The champagne flowed and a good time was had by all at The Avenue to celebrate Wilkinson Williams’ 15th year.

Wilkinson Williams closed their office for their annual trip to the races at Goodwood and, as you will see from the photos, it was a case of “Men in Beige”! Our new boy, David Mac, was one of the lucky winners this year, along with Phelpsy (who blew it all at the end) and our accountant, Tony. Those who weren’t so lucky at the bookies enjoyed the day regardless, enjoying the sunshine, Pimms, champagne……”

Wilkinson Williams hosted 13 clients at the Palmer Sport racetrack at Bedford Autodrome for a fast, furious and fun packed day of thrills and a few spills! The adrenaline was flowing as the day progressed to faster and faster cars, culminating in the Formula Palmer Audi single seater, with the equivalent of over 500 bhp under your right foot Mike Williams of Pizza Hut emerged as a worthy overall winner on the day – hardly surprising as he races karts as a hobby, but at least he was well beaten in the Porsche 911!

16 teams played in the football tournament at Goals Wembley this year, again sponsored by Wilkinson Williams. After a hard fought cup final between Parksturge and Wilkinson Williams (severely depleted by injuries to four of their star players!), Parksturge won 2-0 – the winning goals being scored by Ben Holmes and Mark Rudman. Cushman & Wakefield played CBRE for the plate, which Cushman & Wakefield won 2-1.

Wilkinson Williams held their annual golf day at the beautiful St George’s Hill Golf Club on a scorching hot day. Despite the extreme weather conditions, the event was won by Andy Ferguson of Citygrove. The best team of the day was led by Paul Wilkinson, including Andy Ferguson, Dom Millar of Squeeze and Nick Alford of LXB. The longest drive was won by Andy Melen of Halfords and the nearest to the pin was won by Andrew Wells of Focus DIY. The only casualty of the day was our very own David Marsden, who was struck down by heatstroke!

Wilkinson Williams chose the resort of Cortina in Italy for their annual skiing trip this year. Much fun was had by all, but unfortunately for James Potter, he broke his collar bone and had to be “stretchered off” (see picture).

Wilkinson Williams’ cocktail at The Avenue was again a great success. If you would like to see the good times had by all, simply click the image to your left and have a look through the gallery of photos.

Wilkinson Williams once again sponsored the annual Accessible Retail 5-a-side competition which was held at the home of Arsenal Football Club, Highbury, on the day which saw the departure of their club captain Patrick Viera. Despite the press attention outside the ground, the sponsors ran out eventual winners beating Dixons Group Retail Properties 2-1 in the final which saw a goal for James Potter and a superb winning volley in the last minute from Peter Phillips!

Wilkinson Williams returned to Stoke Park for their annual golf day. Despite the outbreaks of torrential rain, interspersed by brilliant sunshine, the event was won by Paul Simpson. Andrew Wells of Focus Wickes came second. John Gatley of The Junction won the longest drive and Paul Flood of Mansford won closest to the pin. After dinner, David Marsden entertained the guests of Stoke Park in his own special way on their grand piano!

Wilkinson Williams closed their office for their annual day out at the races. There were many winners this year Tina and Jon (as a syndicate), Adele and Julie (again as a syndicate), Mark, Grant and Peter. Live entertainment karaoke style on the coach home was provided by Peter, Wilko and David, although Peter’s singing was probably easiest on the ear!

WILKINSON WILLIAMS wonderfully athletic football squad acheived a convincing victory in a friendly match against Stephen Smart & Co.
Just to prove that they are not just winners in the office.
There is no end to the talent of these boys, on or off the field.
"They could have picked a better coloured kit though," I hear you say.

Paul Simpson's New York Marathon Memoires:
Got back safe and sound with not so much as a blister but some great memories. If you can handle the training it is definitely worth giving it a go. Everything went to plan (other than the very warm weather - 75 degrees) and I finished in 3hrs 44 mins .
Checkout the results page for my split times and a virtual re-run of my race, http://www.nycmarathon.org/news/index.html ie. if you are that interested - having put in my name and seen my stats, go to course simulation and you can see how it went and by adding another runner such as Sean Combs ie P.Diddy/Puff Daddy you'll see how I left him eating my dirt - GOOD JOB as they say in the States.
Firstly thank you all for your sponsorship support - it really did keep me going and will raise circa £8,000 + Gift Aid ie £10,000

Seven members of WW hosted an event at Jonathan Palmer’s Bedford Autodrome. A thrilling day out driving seriously fast cars. The Michael Schumacher of the day was Les Cowburn of DP Furniture Express.

WW held a cocktail party at the Carlton Tower Hotel and were Joined by 400 clients and agents for a night of champagne, food and jazz. A few more hardy souls carried on the evening at the Mandarin Oriental’s late bar. David was again in good voice.

Various clients joined WW for a golf day at Stoke Park, scene of the infamous game between James Bond and Goldfinger! Nine holes were played in the morning, followed by 18 in the afternoon.
The event was won by Paul Flood, taking the trophy from formerccolleague, Ed Cree at Asda Properties, last year’s winner.

WW closed their office for their annual day out at the races. Many of the boys got lucky with their bets and David got even luckier – he met his idol, Rusty Lee! Sadly his picture with her never came out! Miles and Paul W were in good voice singing Jerusalem outside the pub in Putney afterwards!

Once again, WW took over the indoor pitch at Arsenal FC, as well as the bar, to sponsor the Accesible Retail annual 5-a-side tournament. Parkridge beat GVA Grimley to win the trophy for the second year running. WW’s team were sadly depleted by injuries!

WW win Out of Town Retail Agent of the Year for the third year running, and also pick up an award for Deal of the Year.

For a change of scene, everyone at WW headed off to the Tiroler Hut(an Austrian Beer Keller/restaurant in Bayswater) for a night out with a difference. The evening began in celebratory style with Miles’ announcement that he was to become a dad. The schnapps flowed freely in celebration! Robert and Adele played the cowbells (see photo), Paul W sang "Close to You" word perfect from start to finish, looking very sweet wearing a hat from WW’s previous trip to the Oktoberfest.
David sang "New York New York" in his trademark gravelly voice, whilst serenading the ladies, and Mark sang "My Way", assisted quite awfully with backing vocals from Adele and Julie! The night all proved too much for James, who just couldn’t take the pace at the end of the night.

Paul W, Grant, Mark and Paul S took a number of clients to watch what turned out to be a memorable game in the Champions League. Seven goals were scored on the night, with all the stars on display.
Man U won 4-3, but lost the tie 5-6 on aggregate, as Beckham said goodbye to Old Trafford.

Our annual skiing trip was a great success. No injuries and plenty of fun in one of Europe’s most exclusive resorts.
