British Land acquires 50% interest in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, SE16 and Clifton Moor, York for £87 million

Wilkinson Williams acted for British Land in the acquisition of SEGRO’s 50% interest in a joint venture with Tesco in the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, SE16 and the Clifton Moor Retail Park in York. Both retail centres are anchored by a Tesco superstore.

The 50% interest equates to a full property value of £174 million. The overall net initial yield was around 6.4%.
