Wilkinson Williams has advised The Crown Estate in the acquisition of the Queensgate Centre Retail Park in Harlow from clients of LaSalle Investment Management for £69 million. The Queensgate Centre extends to 225,000 sq ft and is occupied by Toys R Us, Burger King, Homebase, SCS, Currys, Hobbycraft, Laura Ashley, Easy Living, Brantano, Sports Direct, Cineworld, PC World, Mothercare, Pizza Hut, Costa, Sony Centre and Subway. The purchase price of £69 million, reflects a net initial yield of 6.44%, rising to 6.71% upon a fixed uplift in March 2010.
