Wilkinson Williams acquired the retail park for Morley as part of the Chartwell Land portfolio in 2003.
The scheme consists of a B&Q Mini Warehouse and a Halfords unit, part of which was sublet to AA Service Centre.
Wilkinson Williams identified a potential extension to the scheme by taking a surrender of the AA space and extending the frontage forward in line with the Halfords unit. Wilkinson Williams then played an integral part of the project team from the initial design through to gaining planning consent for the extension. Contracts have been exchanged with Halfords to downsize and regear their lease to 10,280 sq ft at £30.00 per sq ft for a term of 20 years. Agreements for lease have exchanged with Paul Simon and Currys for units of 6,618 sq ft and 8,198 sq ft respectively at £30.00 per sq ft.
Wilkinson Williams also negotiated a deed of variation to B&Q's lease to permit the development to proceed. Contractors are currently on site.
