Wilkinson Williams advised Aviva Investors on a refurbishment and 10,000 sq ft extension of the scheme. Halfords were previously oversized in an awkwardly configured "L" shaped unit of 15,000 sq ft, of which 5,000 sq ft was unoccupied owing to the closure of the AA Service Centre.
Wilkinson Williams worked closely with the client, architects and solicitors to negotiate a surrender, downsize and new lease with Halfords, ensuring continuity of trade was provided throughout, and an extension and refurbishment of the remaining part of their unit.
Lettings were subsequently completed to Currys and Paul Simon at £30.00 per sq ft in the remaining space.
