Wilkinson Williams were appointed by the landlord in 2006 when there were a number of voids on this large retail park, which comprises 290,000 sq ft.

Over the last 24 months, we have been involved in a number of lettings, including new leases to Clarks, Sports Direct, First Choice, Poundworld and most recently Game.

In addition to the new retailers above, planning consent was obtained and two new A3 units were prelet to Costa Coffee and Subway, together with a new management, customer toilets and two ATMs significantly enhancing the amenities on the retail park.

The rental tone has increased during this period from £30.00 per sq ft to £40.00 per sq ft for units of 5,000-7,000 sq ft. There is now only one vacant unit upon which we have received offers.

In addition to the main scheme, Wilkinson Williams have given advice to the landlord in relation to an industrial site held in the same ownership at the front of the retail park. Planning consent has now been achieved for 16,000 sq ft of bulky goods, together with mezzanines. Two of the three proposed units are in legals, with an offer received on the third and last unit.
