Wilkinson Williams became involved as joint agents on this large scheme (290,000 sq ft) with the intention of increasing the open A1 consent and increasing the number of fashion retailers on the scheme.
Since our involvement, a number of surrenders and new lettings have taken place, with asset management initiatives meaning Thomas Cook and JJB have left the scheme and Carpetright and Allied Carpets have relocated to enable new lettings to take place to M&S, Peacocks, First Choice and New Look.
In addition, planning consent has been achieved for two new A3 pods to increase the amenity facility of the scheme, and these A3 pods have been let to Costa Coffee and Subway.
Ongoing initiatives are likely to see further new retailers join the existing 21 occupiers on the scheme this year (2008), together with additional planning applications to further increase the total square footage and take the scheme to over 300,000 sq ft. This is now the largest retail park asset held by Morley within the Life Funds.
